Photo part of the series All are welcome All are welcome, Hare Krishnas The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON) is a religious movement founded originally in India. The focus of this movement is the devotional worship of Krishna and Rhada (Krishnas female counterpart), as the supreme forms of God. ISKON is a worldwide confederation of more than 550 centers all around the world; devotees try to spread Krishna´s consciousness primarily by singing the Hare Krisha Mantra in public places, and gathering in their temples for classes, feasts, or simply chanting mantras. I spent a few good months attending the Hare Krishna’s Temple in Dublin, specifically the Sunday Feast, a gathering were devotees from all religions are welcome to sing and worship Krishna. I found that this religion joins people from different cultures and beliefs, backgrounds and social classes. People who strongly believe that the material consumption society today is so keen on, is definitely not the way to go. People who find comfort in self-awareness and the belief that the individual soul is an eternal personal identity, something that does not die with the body, but lives on. This set of 10 photographs is my attempt at opening their door. Shot in Dublin, Ireland, in 2016.
